PREVENTOR
About us
Preventor µTBC GmbH was founded in 1998 by Prof. Paul Kerth, MD, MBA and expanded in April 2002 as a Public Private Partnership with Hessen Life Sciences Chemie AG of the German State of Hessen.
Its inception was based on a 40 years+ interdisciplinary experience and expertise in R&D, manufacturing and marketing/sales of rapid, preventive diagnostics, theranostics and regulatory approvals of innovative therapeutics mainly in the areas of ophthalmology, immunology, hematology and cardiology.
In addition, the major driving force since the beginning has always been an entrepreneurial culture within a highly self-motivated team focusing on all aspects of drug and food safety. The major objective is optimizing the safety profiles of active pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food-based ingredients, conventional and organic, aimed at providing patients with highest added medical value and safety standards within the shortest possible timeframe throughout all product development phases.
Major milestones include the State of Hessen Innovation Award 2004 related to the development and manufacturing of the Micro Tele BioChip (µTBC) with the support of the German government and the Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) and the capillary blood-plasma separation microchip BLISC (Blood Liquid Separation Chip) based exclusively on physical means of separation as well as the EU Commission Certificate (EU 2018/848) for preparation and production of organic products.
